    Mexico\u2019s Agencia Federal de Aviacion Civil (AFAC) publishes its official RPAS and drone guidance<\/a> and links to the applicable standard. Use that source to establish which requirements apply to your planned operation.<\/p>\n

    Do not assume that a foreign registration, a small aircraft or recreational use automatically makes a flight permitted. Obtain authoritative clarification for your own situation before relying on drone footage as part of your trip.<\/p>\n

    Ask your airline about its current battery and baggage rules using your exact drone and battery specifications. Then check the relevant Mexican customs requirements for bringing the equipment into the country.<\/p>\n

    Aviation, airline and customs questions are separate. A successful check-in does not establish permission to operate the drone after arrival.<\/p>\n

    Archaeological sites, reserves, hotels and other managed areas may have their own restrictions or permit requirements in addition to aviation rules. Contact the relevant authority or property directly.<\/p>\n

    Permission for one location should not be treated as permission for another. Avoid planning a flight near wildlife, crowds, roads or boats without the required authorization and appropriate conditions.<\/p>\n

    Bring a camera or phone suitable for the activities and protect it from water during boat trips. A day can be memorable without an aerial sequence, and the group\u2019s itinerary should not depend on a permission that has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n

    This article is a preparation checklist, not an authorization to fly. If the official information does not resolve your situation, ask AFAC or the appropriate site authority before operating the equipment.<\/p>\n
