Head south toward Bacalar
Leave your accommodation in an air-conditioned vehicle reserved for your group. Bacalar is a long way south of the central Riviera Maya; plan for a full day and discuss the transfer from your hotel before choosing this trip.
See the lagoon from the water
Your private boat takes you onto the Lagoon of Seven Colors, past lagoon cenotes and bird-island scenery. Pause for swimming where permitted, take photographs and enjoy the open views. Stops depend on conditions and the operating rules in effect that day.

Sit down to a meal at a local restaurant, with drinks included. After the boat journey, this is time to relax in the shade and enjoy a different perspective on the water.

Pickup, transportation & timing
Send the full name or address of your accommodation in Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Tulum, Akumal, Puerto Morelos or elsewhere on the Riviera Maya. We’ll check coverage and confirm your pickup time. Any supplement is charged per group for the round trip, not per person.
If you have a car, ask about a meeting point within the included pickup area. Total duration varies with your hotel, traffic and the itinerary; keep your return schedule flexible.

Best for travelers who love freshwater landscapes and boat time and are comfortable with a long round-trip drive. Families should weigh the transfer against the time they want to spend on the water.
What to bring
Swimsuit, towel, UV-protection shirt, hat, sunglasses, sandals and a protected phone or camera. Sunscreen is prohibited on this excursion to protect the lagoon and cenotes.

Questions before you book
Is Bacalar a beach or a lagoon?
This tour visits Bacalar’s freshwater lagoon. It is a different experience from an ocean snorkeling trip to Cozumel or Isla Mujeres.
Is Cenote Azul included?
Yes, admission is included. Confirm the day’s stop order and timing when arranging your private tour.
Can I use sunscreen in the lagoon?
No. Our excursion instructions prohibit sunscreen for this day. Bring a UV-protection shirt, a hat and other sun-protective clothing.
Can we add Los Rapidos?
Ask before booking. It is not included in the standard program described here, and any change requires a confirmed itinerary and price.
How do I reserve?
Contact us with your date, hotel and group details. We confirm availability and the deposit required before you pay. The remaining balance is payable in cash in MXN to the guide, as stated in your booking confirmation.
